Paris, Day 2
We started our day at the Arc D’Triomphe – a large, um, arc. You can see a little more of it here:
And you can read about it here!
The Arc D’Triomphe is right by Champs Elysees (Aux Champs Elysees, Aux Champs Elysees…anyone know the song?). Vy and I spent some time in and under the arc – it’s kind of interesting, even though you can’t go inside it or anything, it’s just a structure on the street, there is security guarding the main entrance. I had to show them everything in my bag.
This display was at a very expensive store…and I can’t remember the name. Anyway, Vy loves bags…she has quite a few of them. The displays intrigued her, as displayed here.
OK these two buildings were across the street from each other after we reached the end of Champs Elysees…and I have to be honest, I have no idea what they are. There were tons of people going in and out, but we didn’t stop to see what they were.
This picture isn’t particularly beautiful, but it’s the first part of a set. Behind me is a column with a gold statue…as you can see, if you look at the picture.
Here’s me again, this time at the Hotel Des Invalides. It looks like I’ve gained weight, but I’m just mindlessly sticking out my belly.
This is a huge shopping center is Paris…I actually forgot the name.
And this is a photo from the top of that building. That tower in the back is well-known for some reason…and that’s sarcasm. Day 2 fini!
